My Writings
Here is a page full of things I have written over the years…
I wrote this for Colter to take to 1st grade and add to the class Gingerbread Boy story book. I got a little crazy with it compared to most parents, but I sure had fun:
Colter and the Gingerbread Boy
I wrote this one for my dad during a writing class I took. I ended up giving it to him for Father’s Day. I share it in my own classes now. I’m pretty proud of it.
I wrote this one for Mark during the same writing class. I enjoy rereading it from time to time.
This started as an email to my sister-in-law in Florida to tell her about an incident involving my 4-year-old daughter.
My husband and I have been through some real hard times. A few years back, I wrote this as a reflection of why I fell in love with him, and why I loved him after 12 years of marriage.
Our family isn’t “traditional” in the “traditional” sense of the word. We are a mixed-race family through a crazy and lengthy adoption process. This is a story I wrote one day when our twins were little.
Here is one of my all-time favorites!! This is the hilarious (at least to me) story of my twin toddlers at their funniest.
This is a story written at the end of my first year as a junior high teacher. The experience I wrote about truly changed my entire philosophy.
